Metaverse: CAD & BIM Design.
Descriptive Paragraph.
Actividad..jpgThe photo 4 shows a street surrounded by buildings on the east and the west side and also shows the road traveled by trains on the west side and pedestrians on the east side. It’s like a boulevard where people can buy their things, stay in a Hotel and enjoy the area. The street is very long. The buildings in both sides of the street are of dark colors and it seems like they are very wide. Also, the buildings look like they have the same height. The pedestrian street seems made of brick. It has blue headlights and also has a road for the person who wants to ride a bike and is brick-red. The road of the trains is grey and made of stone. The trains are white with black windows. The blue sea with a clear sky with few clouds is seen in the background.

From atelier to e-telier: virtual design studios (Summary).
external image da0102_1a.jpgThe text is about basically about the technological progresses that have arisen in the design studios today. That’s why the communication and virtual work have been possible.

The base on the architect’s study has progressed so that it is not necessary for students to work directly in the atelier but they can do some of their work through virtual design studios (VDS), known as e-teliers.

Virtual design studios (VDS) have the potential to favor collaboration over competition, diversify student experiences, and redistribute the intellectual resources of architectural education across geographic and socioeconomic divisions.

In my opinion, this text explains in a good way the technological advances that design studios have as this will help in the development potential of the architects.

Metaverse (Opinion).

Metaverse.
Metaverse.
Having read and discussed the two readings, I learned that metaverse is a space created not only for the use of Architects and Urban Planners. However, metaverse it is a universe within a universe. It's a space similar to real life, where we have the opportunity to interact with others as we would in person.

Metaverse is very beneficial to Architects and Urban Planners as they have no need to physically interact with customers but may do so through the virtual world. Furthermore, it is used by them for that may develop their skills while they are in the studies of the race as such. Studies are underway that would benefit the professional growth of students through the use of the Web as a useful means to attend classes, perform works and ask for suggestions to their teachers. This would represent a technological advancement of the age of students, and would be a more complete process as they have all the necessary tools for the professional development of the students.

(CAD vs BIM).
Computer-aided Design (CAD) is a medium used in the design process, usually used for designing drafts. On the other hand, the Building Information Modeling (BIM) is the process of generating and managing building data during its life cycle.

One of the biggest differences is that BIM is far more advanced than CAD, but it doesn't seem because both have very similar software. CAD basically provides us with appropriate tools for drawing two-dimensional and three-dimensional modeling. However, BIM is not a drawing tool as such although it also serves for that purpose. Its main quality is that it allows more optimal work and more storage capacity.

In conclusion, it’s not to be put aside everything that CAD has helped architects, but there is a new program (BIM) that provides better benefits for their work.
